Rioja Navajas Gran Reserva
Produced in the Rioja Alta region in Spain, consisting of 35% of Tempranillo Grape, 10% Graciano Grape and 5% of the Mazuelo Grape.
Coming from the oldest vineyard, pruned in the traditional style and green harvested to ensure that only a few small batches grow. Polyphenolic ripeness enables the best qualities of the three varieties of grape chosen. By evaluating the berry size, bunch weight, tannin level in skins and pips, it is determined whether the grape to be picked is apt for the Gran Reserva. If not, the wine is simply not made.
The wine is moved to 3 year old French and American oak barrels after a short period of natural rest for 36 months, so that the processes and reactions, ensure the stability of its aromatic and phenolic future takes place.
A medium intensity wine, with notes of ripe red fruit, liquorice, cinnamon and pepper.
